The PEACOCK gramophone needle tins are some of the most recognisable from Japan. It was a brand that ran for many years and the tins have many slight variations. My guess is they ran from the 1920's to about the 1940's. This is one of 2 versions that I know if that held 1000 needles. Its a large size and quite unique for a needle tin.

The tin measures 79mm (w) 51mm (h) and 41mm (d).
